Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit vs. holy Spirit vs. holy spirit

The term holy spirit, in its various cases, only occurs 7 times in Scripture: Two times to Israel in their Masoretic Text Old Testament; once to Israel in their Koine Greek Old Testament (Matthew-John); and three times to the Body of Christ in the Dispensation of Grace (Romans-Philemon); and never to Israel in their tribulation books (Hebrews-Revelation).

The usage is case sensitive.  There is also further implication applied by style, which is covered in the book “The Truth According to Scripture; Book One; Basic Bible Knowledge”.

Holy Spirit – in title case, it is the name of the third person in the Godhead, the immaterial person or personality of God, which is not of flesh.  The only occurrence being found in Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

It is important to remember that this passage is part of Israel’s Gospel of the Kingdom, which is to Israel only … no gentiles allowed!

holy Spirit – holy being the attribute, Spirit being the third person of the Godhead; the immaterial person or personality of God, which is not of flesh; the operation and function of His person; the thinking, feeling, emotion of God, His person and personality in His ministry capacity functioning within man.

holy spirit – descriptive as to the state of a person’s spirit as being holy.  The only occurrence being found in Psalm 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

Upon redemption, which religion calls Salvation, the members of the Body of Christ are given a holy spirit, the spirit of Christ, which they cannot lose.  Since Israel’s members of the Little Flock don’t receive redemption until they enter into the Kingdom, they can lose their Salvation and their holy spirit.
