GOD/God/god

GodA being or spirit that is worshiped, adored, or admired, for having power over nature or human fortunes. (Which isn’t active today)

To claim that there is only one god is to deny Scripture and call God a liar.  However, it is true that we are supposed to worship only one god; the God of Israel; the one true God.

In Scripture, we find the different designations being stipulated through the use of capitalization.

GOD – It invokes the supreme deity of the person LORD; JEHOVAH.    All uppercase occurs 299 times in Scripture; 298 times to Israel in the Masoretic Text Old Testament; never to Israel thereafter; and never to the Body of Christ in the Dispensation of Grace.  The occurrence in Acts 17:23 is not applicable because the all-caps is a quotation of an inscription; today we would use quotation marks instead of invoking capitalization.

God – Title-case God is the common-name used in reference to the members of the Godhead as a unit, or to signify one of them without specification.  Title case occurs 4,111 times in Scripture; 2,743 times to Israel in the Masoretic Text Old Testament, 318 times to Israel in the Koine Greek Old Testament gospel accounts; 97 times to Israel in the transition book of Acts (Acts 1-12); 75 times to the Body of Christ in the transition book of Acts (Acts 13-28); 569 times to the Body of Christ in the Gospel of Grace; and 309 times to Israel in the tribulation books of Hebrews-Revelation.

god – It is indicative of not only the false-deity that men ascribe to fallen angles (including Satan), as well as the attributes of God to wit we are to aspire.  All lower case occurs 335 times in various forms in Scripture: 292 times to Israel in the Masoretic Text Old Testament, with most instances addressing Israel’s making and worshiping idols and false gods; 2 times to Israel in the Koine Greek Old Testament book of John, speaking about men being gods; 3 times to Israel in the transition book of Acts, all of which refer to false-deity; 8 times to the Body of Christ in the transition book of Acts, all of which are referring to false-deity; 25 times in the Gospel of Grace, with 20 instances referring to godly qualities; and 6 times to Israel in their tribulation books of Hebrews thru III John, all of which refer to godly qualities.
