Sacred – The past-participle adjective from a now-obsolete French verb sacren “to make holy”.
This word never appears in Scripture.
This is a word originated in 1200 CE, but in 1400s CE the Catholic Church (Christianity) hijacked the word and changed the meaning to “hallowed, consecrated, or made holy by association with divinity or divine things or by religious ceremony or sanction”. This definition would also pertain to the Jews, or any other religion.
In Scripture, God used the word Hallow.
