DefileTo desecrate, profane; To make foul or dirty, unclean, or impure; To violate, ill-treat, dishonor.

God used this word in its various forms 128 times in Scripture: 101 to Israel in their Masoretic Text Old Testament; 12 times to Israel in their Koine Greek Old Testament (Matthew thru John); 5 times to the Body of Christ in the Gospel of Grace (Romans thru Philemon); and 10 times to Israel’s Little Flock in their tribulation books (Hebrews thru Revelation).

In Israel’s Masoretic Text Old Testament, Israel defiled God’s name, profaned; the actions of people defiled them, made them unclean; prophecy says that Israel will be defiled, violated.

In Israel’s Koine Greek Old Testament (Matthew thru John), Jesus teaches that it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles, but instead what comes out of the mouth from the heart, dishonor; the Pharisees and the scribes use defiled, dirty hands.

In the Gospel of Grace (Romans thru Philemon) God addresses the defiling of the temple, which is God’s agency known as the Body of Christ, profane and dishonor; the lack of knowledge defiles a person’s conscience, violates and dishonors; people that follow Jewish fables and the commandments of men and reject the truth of Rightly Divided Scripture are by nature defiled, profane unclean and dishonorable; homosexuals are defiled, unclean and dishonorable.

In Israel’s tribulation Little Flock (Hebrews thru Revelation) the tongue defiles the body, dishonors; homosexuality and lewd behaviour defiles the body, makes unclean and dishonors; the 144-thousand are virgin-men not defiled by women, dishonored and impure;
