Convert – To change completely.
God used this word 14 times in Scripture: 5 times to Israel in their Masoretic Text Old Testament; 5 times to Israel in their Koine Greek Old Testament; twice to Israel in the transition book of Acts; and twice to Israel in their tribulation book of James.
In the 15th century, this word was redefined by Christianity to include “to adopt a different religion, political doctrine, opinion, etc.”
According to Scripture, in the Dispensation of Grace there are no converts for salvation or redemption. Today, people convert from one religion to another, but that conversion has nothing at all to do with God.
Today, because the members of the Body of Christ are a New Creature, it is impossible to convert into one. To become a member of God’s the Body of Christ requires redemption and a super-natural work by God, which is accomplished by faith according to Rightly Divided Scripture.
