Contempt – The feeling that a person or a thing is worthless or beneath consideration; Consider someone or something to be unworthy of respect or attention.
God used this word 15 times in its various forms in Scripture: 14 times to Israel in their Masoretic Text Old Testament; and once to the Body of Christ in the Dispensation of Grace.
Almost everyone holds God in contempt.
When someone blames God for their circumstances or the loss of a loved-one, they are holding God in contempt.
The unrepentant hold God in contempt; refusing His grace and mercy.
When someone follows their religion (Church doctrine, customs, traditions, etc.) and disregards Scripture, they are holding God in contempt.
When someone refuses God’s change of programs (dispensations) and mix and mingle the gospels, they are holding God in contempt and calling Him a liar.
