Apostle – A person that is sent with authority to accomplish a purpose and/or to present a message.
To be an apostle someone must physically and literally send you to accomplish their purpose and/or present their message.
The word Apostle occurs 83 times in Scripture: Never to Israel in their Masoretic Text Old Testament; 8 times to Israel in their Koine Greek Old Testament (Matthew thru John), wherein there were only 12 apostles, which are specifically named, and sent by Jesus Christ; 31 times in the transition book of Acts, with every instance referring to the 11 apostles sent by Jesus Christ and the 12th apostle, Matthias, as per Acts 1; 36 times to the Body of Christ in the Gospel of Grace (Romans thru Philemon), wherein the overwhelming majority are a reference to Paul; and 8 times to Israel’s Little Flock in their tribulation books (Hebrews thru Revelation), wherein the overwhelming majority are a reference to Jesus’ original 12 apostles.
Since Jesus Christ is not physically on earth, it is absolutely impossible for Him to send anyone today. Today, there are no apostles of Jesus Christ.
If you are an apostle of God, you will do all of the miracles, signs, and wonders that Jesus Christ did.
Acts 2:43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
II Corinthians 12:12 Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.
However, religious organizations do physically and literally send people to accomplish their purpose and present their message: organizational doctrine and traditions. But with their apostleship, you are not endued with any power or divine authority.
II Corinthians 11:13-15 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. [14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. [15] Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
Revelation 2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
So, today, there actually are apostles. But those apostles are not the apostles of God, Jesus Christ, Paul, or anyone else in Scriptural history. They are simply the apostles of the men and the organizations that send them; Liars.
