ILL– Marked by evil intentions; Harmful, pernicious.
God used this word 15 times in Scripture: 14 times to Israel in their Masoretic Text Old Testament; and once to the Body of Christ in the Gospel of Grace (Romans thru Philemon).
The sense of being sick or diseased was introduced in the mid-1500s, from the Old Norse idiom “it is bad to me”. But this sense never appears in Scripture.
