Holpen

HolpenTo take hold of someone to help him up when he is in danger of falling.

God used this word 5 times in Scripture: 4 times to Israel in their Masoretic Text Old Testament and once to Israel in their Koine Greek Old Testament book of Luke.

In each instance it refers to stabilizing or assisting someone, or a group, while in the process of faltering or falling.

Modern dictionaries redefine the word to mean “past participle of help”, which is wrong.  The past participle of help is helped.
