Allegory

AllegoryA story, poem, or picture that can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral or political one.

This word only appears 1 time in Scripture: to the Body of Christ in the Dispensation of Grace.

Galatians 4:24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

God explains this allegory from verse 25-31, giving an example; for the redeemed in the Dispensation of Grace to garner an understanding of Grace.

The complete understanding of Scripture isn’t available to the unredeemed through the wisdom of men.  It requires the teaching of the Holy Spirit, which only occurs when you practice II Timothy 2:15-16 with the absence of any private agenda.
