Wile – Stratagem (trick to outwit an enemy); sly artifice.
The sense of the word carries a negative connotation, an adversarial tactic.
God only used this word twice, and both are in the plural form; stipulating that two or more elements are used in conjunction and simultaneously as a weapon in battle.
God used the word once to Israel in the Masoretic Text Old Testament about the Midianites in Numbers 25:18; and once to the Body of Christ in Ephesians 6:11 about the devil.
Satan’s sly artifice used to trick and outwit mankind was instituted in Genesis 3; religion. Today, the primary religion is Christianity.
