Lad – A young man between 13 and 20 years old.
God used this word 33 times in Scripture: 32 times to Israel in the Masoretic Text Old Testament; and once to Israel in the Koine Greek Old Testament.
Lad is a statement of maturity and general age only. Lads are either still living at home, or are living as servants in the house of their masters.
When a boy reaches full maturity, or is living on his own, he is then referred to as a man.
