InterpretTo translate orally; to explain the meaning of, make understandable.

God used this word in its various forms 72 times in Scripture: 52times to Israel in their Masoretic Text Old Testament; 8 times to Israel in their Koine Greek Old Testament; 2 times to Israel in the transition book of Acts; Once to the Body of Christ in the transition book of Acts; 7 times to the Body of Christ in the Gospel of Grace (Romans thru Philemon); and 2 times to Israel’s Little Flock in their tribulation books (Hebrews thru Revelation).

In Israel’s Masoretic Text Old Testament, 49 usages are in the 2nd sense of the word, “to explain the meaning of, make understandable”, and 3 usages are in the 1st sense of the word, “To translate orally”.

All other instances in Scripture are in the 1st sense of the word, “To translate orally”.

Most Christians misinterpret Scripture; “explain the meaning” according to their false doctrine, customs, traditions, etc. … which according to Scripture is a private interpretation; it corrupts the Word of God.
