God had a purpose in His design of creation. Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Astrology is a religion designed by men. Astronomy is a science that uses God’s design for the calculation of time; days, seasons, years, etc.
In the beginning, prior to Israel and the publication of Scripture, God spoke to mankind through “seers” and used the stars as signs.
Since mankind rejected God, He rejected them; giving them over to a reprobate mind (Romans 1). God no longer communicates with mankind using signs in the heavens.
Mankind continued to look at the heavens and invented meanings for the things that they cannot understand; Astrology (Jeremiah 10:1-16).
Beginning with the birth of the nation of Israel, God purposed that all men must go through Israel to commune with God and have access to His information. Israel has never fulfilled God’s design and purpose for them, which will remain unchanged until Christ takes his throne on earth.
Beginning with Paul (Acts 9), and God’s institution of the Dispensation of Grace (Acts 13 thru Philemon), today all men must approach God individually according to the Gospel of Grace.
