God explains this allegory, giving an example, for the redeemed to garner an understanding of Grace.
The complete understanding of Scripture isn’t available to the unredeemed through the wisdom of men. It requires the teaching of the Holy Spirit, which only occurs when you practice II Timothy 2:15-16 with the absence of any private agenda.
